Stephane Jamoye injured; pulls out of todays’s fight.
Belgian boxing fans will have to decide which way to go this next Saturday June 29.
In Herstal, on the French part of the country, the Jamoye brothers will head a 7-bout show. WBC #1 bantamweight Stephane Jamoye will keep busy against Benjamin Smoes over 8 rounds while waiting for his world title opportunity. Brother Steve, the current WBC Youth champion, will also be in action over 8 rounds. He will face Innocent Anyanwu from Holland. EBU champion Sabrina Giuliani, daughter of promoter Mirco Giuliani, will have a non-title 6 rounder on the undercard. Alexander Jur, Francesco Patera, Arnaud Dimidschtein and Djemilla Gontaruk will complete the show.
In Ninove, the otherside of the country and in the Flemish part of Belgium, promoter Ezzedine Laggoune will promote a 8-fight card with 2 titlefights. The most interesting is local star Bilal Laggoune who will try to grab the Belgian cruiserweight title from defending champion Christophe Dufaux. Dufaux starts favourite after his impressive stoppage win against Geoffrey Batello. The 2nd titlefight will see Ismael Abdoul face Ben Nsafoah for the WBF Intercontinental title. Nsafoah is on 3 consecutive defeats, so Abdoul should not have not too much problems keeping the belt in Belgium. Sasha Yengoyan, Ryad Merhi, female Elfi Philips, Matingu Kindele, Jean Pierre Habimana and Gian Carlo Liesdek will all see action on the undercard.
